Kent,
I would be interested. Please let us know what the cost would be when you get to that point. Thanks!.

Kent, one thing that I have noticed with my weighted bumper (see attachment) is that it can get caught on the ground when the ground has a fast rise behind the PT. Not a big deal, but stuff will scrape some. Yours sticks out farther and may be more of an issue. I believe that this is why they slope the bottom of the PT up in the back. I can put upto 120 pounds on it, but 65 pounds seems to be enough most of the time. I rarely take off the 65 pounds as I like the way the machine backs up hills and generally handles with the extra weight.
I like your box in that it can also hold tools, chains, etc. You might consider carrying some commonly needed stuff there all of the time.

Yeah, I was thinking logging chains, except I don't know if the hitch on the rear of the box would be as strong as the hitch on the PT. So, while it would be a good place to store the chains, the box might bend if a heavy load is put on its hitch. But for lawn carts and stuff it sounds like it would be fine. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

How much weight can you put that far back without causing too much stress on the pivot point ahead of the tub?

Do you really expect me to stress it to the breaking point and report back? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I don't think so! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Seriously, I've run 45lb wheel weights on the rear tires (in additional to having filled all 4 tires) for short periods of time without problems. BobRip says he routinely runs 65 lbs hanging off his hitch pin...

Theoretically, there are bypass valves on the lift circuits to protect you from over-stressing that pivot (among other things), but I've yet to have my lift arms bypass...

My intention is not to run it with weight in it all the time. Much of the time it will be a carryall "tool box" kind of thing.
