Oil & Fuel Anyone know current price Of NH Hydro. oil?

Makes me glad I have a TN75, recommended is to change hydraulic filters and top off every 300 and drain and refill every 1200 hours .

Wonder what's so different about the smaller machines, Not much I suspect.

It would be less because of differences in the transmission. HST's are not very tollerant of dirty oil. It also depends on the spec oil the manufacturer is using. Kubota is starting to stretch out their service intervals when you are using their SUDT oils.

Ain't no book made that can gauge working conditions----It depends on the dust rain snow and heat/cold----and how much money you got left at the end of the month---If it is dirty or milkie change it---if it is still good run it---I like when people don't change the oil when they need to---Did i mention i am in the tractor repair business---Business is good when they run it and run it and tear it up---It is also good when they buy filters and oil to often,when they don't need it. I have not seen a tractor MFG yet with an Oil refinery----CNH doesn't sell you diesel!!! A good spec oil made for that operation and "Condition" will work fine----Bet you never test the oil you pour in your truck---you may be surprised at how much the oil companies "Miss" Label their oils and additives----It is about the MONEY!!!

Neil, if I have an HST tractor that is used primarily to pull a rotary cutter or run a tiller or other PTO driven implement, isn't the oil likely to last longer than if I use that same tractor to pull a plow or a heavy load where the transmission has to work much harder?

I really like the idea of testing the oil to see what its condition is. Testing at every service interval may not be necessary, but doing it at least once to establish a baseline for the future would be money well spent in my opinion. I have not done this, but I think I just may give it a try since I'm at the change interval right now.

You would need an engineer to tell you the real answer to that question, but I would guess that its really no difference. Under most every day conditions I would not guess it would make much of a difference... unless say, you where out plowing with it.
