Anyone know the actual 2305 rear axle capacity

If you go by the official numbers, the 2305 has a rear axle capacity of 1477 lbs. It may be the only SCUT in the world with a weaker rear axle than front axle.

If you use the Deere ballast calculator, the rear axle is carrying 1739 lbs with a 200cx loader, operator, and 260 backhoe - a standard configuration. Obviously, the published numbers aren't right.

Does anyone know the actual capacity?

I guess actual capacity would be when failure occurs.
Design capacity may be something else, but printed recommended values may even be different yet.

My 2210 (earlier model same axles) 3120 lb, front and rear. per owners manual. Who knows if this is right but it seems right given the potential load they could see. JD makes so many mistakes in their specs. I'm beginning to think their published specs have little to do with actual tested safe capacity and more to do with what they are willing to be liable for.

Thanks for the info; that sounds about right.

If it was liability, why would they sell a configuration (2305/200cx/206BH) that exceeds published specs when it's sitting on the showroom floor? I think it's just typos.
