anyone like atvs?

I love me some ATVs and bikes. I've had a yamaha blaster, Honda 400ex and now I have a 02 Yamaha Grizzly 660. As far as bikes I've owned a few crotch rockets but my favorite was my ol 99 KTM Adventure R LC4 640 . I've got some pics of the quads/bike on my yahoo page. Cheers...

Hey, I'll bite! My wife really wants one of those little Honda Metropolitan scooters for scooting around the village, but between the belt drive and the small displacement I'm worried it won't handle our hill very well. The village is flat, but it's way down in the valley. Getting there would be no problem, but my feeling is a scooter would have trouble getting back up that mile long, 20% grade to our house.

Is there a small bike or larger scooter that would better handle the hill?

Ok I didn't see any mounts for a 3pt hitch or a loader. And I coudln't tell if those are R4's or turfs.

The Vampires are nice. I have them on my Big Bear 350 and have never been stuck but do a lot of pulling out of the others that I ride with. Of course I don't rub it in or anything. I also use a Bombardier Traxter XT that is pure stock and while it has a better 4wd system then my Yamaha it gets stuck too easy with the Blackwaters if you are pulling anything. Tires make a atv a true All Terrain Vehicle.

I have a 2001 Yamaha Kodiak. Great machine. No problems. I still spend more time on the tractor however. Maybe if yamaha could make a loader and 3 pt......

I'm not so much into atv's, but I bought new and unseen off of the reviews, a 1980 YZ 465 when it first came out. Sold it after couple years for same I had in it.

ALWAYS loved the Maicos, and after moving here (250 acres) figured a dirt bike be nice again...so, via internet, found a 1983 Maico 490 in piceces. Was in 4 boxes totally disassembled.

Got boxes in, went through everything, seemed had been wrecked and internal shift fork broke/bent. Went about replacing, refininshing... bored/honed, new Mahl, all bearings....and OMG. Does this thing absolutely get it. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Was a dream of mine to own a Maico in the 70's when I was way to young to pay for one. Now I got one and if I'm not careful, the darn thing will break my ankle and spit me off (if it kicks back).

Maybe I need to trade it in for a Yammie 80? /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif

I must say, I DO prefer a kick start on the "right" side!

I hate'em!!! Smelly, noisy, drivers have attitudes, owners
think they can do anything a Cat 60 can.. I've built a lot of
log skidding equipment for local guys who think they can
do the work of a Tree Farmer with only 5HP. Silly buggers
are snakin' deer out of the woods in hunting season, too.
Plowin' snow and all manner of things that toys ain't supposed
to do. And I'm giong to keep hating'em until I can afford
to buy one....maybe one of them tandem axle Polaris rigs...
I can use it to haul the ice shanty onto the lake..

I had no interest in fourwheelers whatsoever until a couple of years ago when my sister got one and let me ride it. Shortly thereafter I bought a Honda Rancher ES and have proceeded to put over 1,300 miles on it in two years!
