Funny how you call people who don't want cancer "greenies". I'm all for natural gas plants, modern nuclear, hydro, wind, and solar, etc. I think coal needs to die. Why should my family get cancer for living next to a power plant that benefits mainly city folks living 50 miles away?
Trash incinerators are also a major problem, but I don't think anyone has a great solution for dealing with trash, whether it gets burned for electricity or shoved in the ground.
Dude, pump the brakes, ok?
I never called “people who don’t want cancer greenies”.
Crap, People get cancer voluntarily. They smoke, drink excessively, or eat 4 pounds of bacon a week. Smoking is the main cause of lung cancer and more people die from lung cancer than almost every other type of cancer. Sadly, its a sel-forced error that costs them their life!
Maybe work on that before you close fossil fuel plants and shove your windmills & solar panels agenda up our asses???
I do agree that coal should probably be phased out in favor of natural gas, but would always be open to new advancements in clean coal technology.
Nukes is by far the best answer
