Just wondering if anyone moves round bales with a bucket mounted spike with their ck25/30 and how well they think it does it..

Thanks

The Kl 130 loader is rated at 1155lbs lifting at the pivot pins.

I have an LK3054 with a modified bale spear set-up for the bucket. It will not lift a large 6x6 ft round bale using the FEL. These bales run around 1100-1200 lbs. Might be able to lift a 5x5, but I can and do lift small 4x4 round bales. These run around 700-900 lbs. When I handle large bales I switch the spear to the 3pt on the back.

LKGuy,
Sounds like the best and safest way to handle them all!
Then again.... the best is always the safest right? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

We have a convertible one that can be ran either on the bucket or on the 3pt. It seems to be popular. You can use it on the back for the heavy bales and on the front for lighter bales. BTW this isn't an AD for our spears. Most tractor places have them or can get them.

*LOL* it's pretty bad that it's gotten to the point we feel we have to put a disclaimer in all our posts for fear of being accused of things. I must say the convertible style sounds very useful.

It has gotten to where if a thread has over 6-7 posts, there is a disclaimer of some type. Another similar thing, it is pretty sad when it gets to the point that you can't even have a opinion about anything without someone jumping on you, because of it. We must be politically correct at all costs. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
