Actually, most of the TV I watch is American. Mostly PA and especially Erie.

Ontario is both a province in Canada, and also a city in California, near Chino (just inland from Los Angeles). So the street address according to mapping software is a valid one, in Ontario California (CA = California, in terms of states, or also = Canada in terms of countries). Ya gots to read it carefully to see which one is meant, sometimes, I've been caught up too. But all in all, I think I agree with everyone else about the terms of sale and all that likely being scammish. (Actually when I read the original post, I wondered to myself why someone in NY would be bidding on a tractor in CA (California, that is)....Ya know???

Ontario, California is a city of 150,000 located 35 miles east of Los Angeles. Mainly notable for one of the Los Angeles regional airports located there.

But as for that seller name, Google reports it was the name of an obscure movie actor who was born somewhere near there.
I'll call this one bogus if the seller has suddenly relocated the tractor from east coast to west.

As for the Ebay sale, I have sold several pieces of heavy Equipment
that way and a legit seller should accept secure funds on pickup. If
you are considering having is shipped by truck freight, consider using
a company that will hand over pmt at pickup. I have never done the
latter, but I have heard is a workable way to avoid getting taken.

I believe that this is the auction. Can't say if it is a scam or not. What I don't like is to see purchasers with low feedback numbers. This usually indicates that the feedback numbers are being manipulated by both buyer and seller.

Check out the feedback history of him and his buyers...alot of them are the same IDs, and many are no longer registered users. Additionally, all the "buyers" bought the exact same item (albeit different auction #'s) except 2, the 758C and another attachment. So he baits you w/ numerous "successful buyers" (probably himself) for these $10.00 auctions saying things like "picked up in person..great guy!", and then he lowers the boom! (no pun intended )
I'd report him right away.

Assuming Dusty's seller is the right one:
In his current auctions, the Harley Power Rake is shown near a forest that is impossible for Ontario California. (Ontario was irrigated desert, and is becoming part of the Los Angeles urban sprawl. No forest, no trees, everything dry.)
So I put in an advanced search for Harley Power Rake specifying within 2,000 miles of Riverside, ca, a neighbor to Ontario. His Harley Power Rake hit 385 miles from Riverside. On a second search, I found it to be less than 5 miles from San Francisco.
The New Holland 758C backhoe also shows 385 miles from Riverside (or Ontario) but a search based from San Francisco returns nothing. However searches from Oakland or San Jose (nearby cities) again hit on San Francisco (by triangulation) as the location he is listing from. The terrain shown in photos of the backhoe and the Harley rake are implausable for SF and very unlikely for Ontario.
It looks like all his previous ebay sales were $10 concrete sawing blades, now he is selling heavy equipment.
I think this transaction needs face to face verification that the equipment exists and is where he says it is. No way would I send any money sight unseen.
