Anyone out plowin?

Before spending most of his time in a warmer climate during winter, my brother would rent AWD vehicles for the times he was here (he has a sport vehicle during summer that he stores when snow starts). He wouldn't clean his driveway, not even the snowbank. If the city would plow the road while at work and the snowbank was too high, he would take a head start from the front neighbor driveway and jump it lol.

He also would buy tulip plants and plant them in early springs and be the first one to have tulips in his neighborhood. He can be weird some times lol.

Punk rock!

Rust is the mother of all 4 letter words!
I just put a lift in my shop for fluid filming our vehicles but am fortunate enough to be able to just not drive in it until it's dry. We had our 3/4 suburban die of rust fried, your doing the right thing.

Yeah, I hate it too. Its the price to be paid to be in the snowplowing business. I have been fortunate to stick to rinsing off the trucks and equipment when finished. Really makes a difference, but the frames get that brown surface rust look to them no matter what. Might take a look at the LPS-3. Been using fluid film for many years.

Back to black is the hottest thing here now, haven't tried it yet.

This guy did a nice test, think I'll stay with Fluid Film.

Yup..... as the attached video explains, "fluid film is a much thicker product" than LPS-3.
That is true!
The question though is, do you want the rust proofing material to span the welded seam gaps of body panels (Fluid Film), or do you want the material to weep into those seams (LPS-3)?
I much prefer the product that will weep into the seams as deeply as possible, and that is LPS-3

Plowed yesterday, the snow is starting to accumulate a bit now.

I'm hoping (and believe) that the FF creeps also, but have used that lps 3 stuff from an aerosol can. I'll have to check if it's available by the gallon. I can buy a gallon of FF at any auto parts store for under $40 and this year I updated to their "pro" sprayer with the fancy hose with spray tips that sprays out all the sides for places that you can remove the rubber plugs from. Still, fingers crossed.

You can buy LPS-3 in gallons, and 15 gallon drums, and 55 gallon drums.
I currently have a partial 15 gallon drum.

Do you just wash frame, let dry, then spray it on?

NAPA is where I got my sprayer, if not on their shelf it's on the computer. Chitty job on a creeper and imho best done during the last warm weather of fall - outside.
