Opps! You're right... I should have checked his tractor first. My mistake. Maybe one of those little Mazzoti backhoes would work for him after all. Gotta keep my nose out of places it doesn't belong.

Yeah..... i'm looking for something with a digging depth around six to six and a half ft. The used Kubota hoe i looked at looked an awful lot like a small woods unit..... perhaps that is who made them for Kubota? I'm not looking to do alot of excavating (ya..... famous last words!!), so a lighter unit should do me fine, especially considering my tractor. The used unit i looked at was a great size for me, but we just couldn't reach an agreement on price. Perhaps if i keep looking, i'll find a nice used hoe.

Hey,
Those Woods hoes are nice. I just thought for the $, the LITW hoe was really nice and, so far, I still think so.

For the record.... i appreciate you offering to let me try your hoe out. I may take you up on it eventually. My fear is..... it will get me all hot to have my own, and it will keep me from making rational decisions ! Had i run yours for a half hour before going to look at that used hoe, i would have ponied up the extra $200 and come home with a beat up twenty year old backhoe !

As a dealer for the LITW Korean backhoes, I have looked at all the other backhoes on the market and they don't compare to the quality or price of the LITW.Try one out and you will see, we have sold them to Kioti dealers, Montana, TYM,Kubota, and many more. E-mail me for pricing, you can get optional PTO pump and tank, Grapple, bucket sizes from 8"-16",powder coated paint ,USA hoses,JIC fittings, swedish valves(very smooth operation).I think you will see alot more of the LITW backhoes in the months and years to come
We sell out all the time, we are trying to increase our orders to keep up.If you are on the East coast look up Ronald at Ranchhand supply in Va.he is also a dealer and can save you some shipping cost on the eastcoast

I have a Jinma YW-6 Hoe that I bought off of ebay new for $2800. including shipping. and I am very happy with it. I modified the subframe to fit my 3510 Branson and plummed it into the tractor hydraulics. I run the tractor RPM about 1400 and it does a great job. I built a 6" bucket for it to trench with also.
I have no problem with the controls, they work per the diagram on the top of the frame. The swing cylinders seem to coast out of position and I have to swing it back from time to time. I haven't tried to check it out, I'm having too much fun with it!
If you want a REAL backhoe then buy one, but for the money I spent I am happy. I have dug stumps, replanted small trees and dug a trench around my septic drain field and cut a bunch of roots that planned to cost me a lot of money. Oh, there is the two dozen or so holes that I dug and covered up out back just to make sure it still worked!

I purchased one of the mazzotti 180 backhoes listed on ebay for $3650. I installed it on a Iseki 24hp 4wd tractor with a weight of 1910lb. It works extremely well, very powerful with only 1500 rpm good speed and control. Very high quality unit, it is not big with a little less than 6ft depth and 8ft reach. The 3 point hitch attachment system is very strong, I did bend my top link slightly. I would reccomend considering this unit as it is very well made with quality hoses and fittings. There was some slight rusting of fasteners and the pin to hold the seat up when not in use is wimpy. I have used it to dig up stumps and to dig rocks out of the field that were 3ftx3ftx2ft over 600lb. The limiting factor was tractor weight. John
