Its pretty wild the stuff they do to theese things. I saw a couple in the 10k range that had beer coolers built in the hood and 400 watt kenwood stereos with trick paint jobs. Theres a guy in AZ that turns them into Dune Buggys. Their are islands here, in fla and in Georgia that I know of where no cars are allowed. So many use carts. The only mule this is comparable to is a 2wd 550. The others use 11 0r 14 hp motors Vs the standard 9. Prices vary a lot with location. I did see some used Mules (4x4) in the 5k range in Richards neighborhood ( within 3 states ) but that adds $500 delivery to me and they had the livin snot beat out of them. Honestly I have never seen a used 550 as they are not at all popular here. The models over the 550 and the other brands are all starting around 7k new. The Best "deals" I saw when shopping were on Diesel Mules and they are still 6-8k in the VERY used range. Honestly if I could have found a 550 mule I would probably have gone that route just because I really did not initially want a "golf cart". I had thought when Alan mentioned the 550 he was still shopping so thats really the only reason I put it up not to actually compare the two. I also drove a EZGO st350 used (11 hp) higher, wider, $4500 used. I just did not want to spend that much to transport people from one blind to another. It beats walking in the dark and it pretty fun in the woods. I guess you'd have to see what it can go over to believe it. Either way they are all more fun to me than a ATV because you can go for a ride with your honey and still put some tools in the back. One thing about the 550 that might be better, I never drove one, is that they probably start like a car and idle. The Golf cart starts and stops when you step on the gas. Dave
