I don't like to think of it as playing around. I've been trying to steadily grow our portfolio for awhile now.

My strategy has always been to find good values (low P/E) and companies with a good record of dividend growth. I find the lower the P/E the more stable the stock tends to be and the dividends allow me to accumulate cash to diversify without a huge tax burden.

I thought tractor sales were on a downward trend. Doesn't seem (to me, just another uninformed opinion) that this would be the right time to be buying. I'd expect share prices to drop for another year or two.

I doubt Kubota gets more than 30% of its revenue in the US + Canada.

It main customer base is Asia and there populations are growing rapidly and the desire for more protein in the diet is strong.

The strong US dollar gives the buyer of stocks obtaining most of their revenue outside the US some additional security.

Compare the Kuboto stock chart in Post #1 to the Dow or S&P 500 (hit the COMPARE button) and you will see that Kubota has outperformed both the Dow and S&P by a wide margin for ten years.

Having written that, past performance is not necessarily a prediction of future performance.
