Anyone own or used a gregory grappler

Andy,

Did you buy this factory direct or did your have to go thru a dealer?

I agree for my needs a 5 tines on the bottom beats 3. I have also been looking at Pirhina which has 7 and an FFC version which has 9.

Is visibility an issue with the Worksaver. From the picture it seems like it might be a little problem seeing what your are working on.

I bought mine from a dealer and that price is "all set up" although except for the the hoses, I think it may have come fully assembled. Visibility is not an issue. I can see the lower outside forks on both sides while I'm working. I don't know how heavy the lower forks are on the other multi fork brands but they are quite rugged on the Worksaver. I also have a loader mounted rock bucket which uses 1 inch round forks and I have bent them when I do what I'm not really supposed to do which is dig rocks with it,

Yes, I own two. They are indestructible! Do everything everybody else's does except concrete, out shines anything I've ever used before.....NO jackhammering! Will always own one.

Thanks for the tip on the Worksaver. I bought a SSGR62.

The low end FFC was too lightweight, the high end FFC units were either way to pricey or didn't fit the tasks. The Gregory was way too pricey and didn't fit the tasks. The Pirihna was the least expensive and very similar to the Worksaver, but I could never get a response back from the Mfg'er.

The ssgr22 will not arrive until late next week. The distributor is out of inventory apparently due to sudden demand. The grapple and extra hoses to connect to the aux lines was $1900.
