Anyone rebuilt a B&S carb?

I've got a repair book for single cylinder Briggs, if you can tell me what type of carb it has (there are 15 listed) I could scan the pages if it's one that's covered. The carb type is indicated in the engine model number, probably the easiest way to find it. My book was published in 1994, so if you're mill is newer than that it might not be covered.

I will echo that whole new carb prices can be very reasonable. I haven't had too many problems with my Briggs engine carbs. Had to replace a needle valve that was sticking closed on a 26HP. My 16 had the fuel shut off solenoid go bad and a whole carb was only $5 or $10 more than the solenoid so I just put a carb on it.

Have recently purchased generic carbs for two different Honda engines for $15 each off that auction site. When I sell this last machine I need to fix I don't for see buying another Honda power machine but I guess I should never say never. The float bowls on those rust inside and clog them up. My pressure washer has required the carb to be cleaned out every time I've used it. This last time it didn't run right even after I cleaned it so I went to the store and purchased a Briggs powered pressure washer. You don't know how nice it is to have a machine that starts easy on the first pull again. Going to put a new coil and carb on the Honda and put it on CL if it works right.
