Anyone spray Fluid Film under their car or truck with a garden sprayer?

I can't quote where I read it doesn't, let's say it does for banters sake, it's still a yearly thing, doesn't look appealing to me, and around here $250 each year, vs a spray can, that lasts for me so far, 4 years only spot spraying. Matches frame color too.

i did sprays for YEARS before i found fluid film, there are multiple instances where fluid film beat rattle cans hands down. I don't know what the 250 is, a gallon costs about 60 last i look, and that's about all it takes to do a car.

if you haven't personally used it, i strongly recommend not commenting, its pretty impressive stuff

I’ve sprayed a couple of rusty areas on my cars (subframes and crossmembers) and the rust was stopped. I’ll recoat again this year. Gotta do my truck frame too as that’s starting to rust around the welds.

I’ve tried wire brushing and painting. Rust comes back. Even por-15 doesn’t stop it. Fluid film is superior to any other type of treatment.

the coming to jesus moment for me, was i bought a can on a whim, threw it on a shelf.

about 2 years later, I had to put a basement jack outside to hold up a deck. Bare steel. we are talking hours before rust starts settling in. 2 days and it would be rusted enough to where the screw would not turn. I sprayed the crap out of it, and left it for 2 months as things came up. I 100% expected to throw the jack away by the time I got back to the project.

when i got up to it, and wiped it down, there wasn't a single spot of rust anywhere the fluid film was applied. turned the jack down. put it in the box, went on amazon and bought a case.

the next week bough the undercoating kit. i have used it enough now, to were i won't even try other versions as it works so well.

if any of you watch southmainauto on youtube, i think he uses a case of week of the stuff.

I bought a new-to-me older diesel Ford pickup. It's in great shape but has some frame rust I would like to neutralize. Could I just get a couple gallons of fluid film, a gallon garden sprayer and spray the underside myself? Has anyone done this? Is the viscosity thin enough on a hot summer's day? I don't want to use a higher pressure spray gun.

Truck is only for summer use so whatever I spray will likely stay on. I'm sure this topic has been discussed but I can't seem to find a thread.

I use a woolwax brand spray gun and my air compressor. Got it off Amazon. Fluid Film is seriously good stuff.

That's why I want to use a garden sprayer and stay as far away from getting that smell all over me. I'll smell forever.

no you don't maybe a day after doing a car, all the power to you if you want to try a garden sprayer, i can't even imagine the amount of pumping, my compressor runs non stop

Fluid film been used on the farm for as long as I can remember. When replacing batteries I will coat the whole tray heavily and the terminals once hooked up.
