I now have two and think they are wonderful. It will give you a perfect seed bed. You can tear out vegetation and then drag it off. You can push backwards and with the wheels it is so much easier to use then a box blade. It is reat for gravel driveways. I recently did a 1 acre new residence with a 5 footer TR3 on the back of a New Holland TC33. The lot had piles of dirt that needed leveled it had chest high weeds covering the entire lot. With just a TR3 and without even first cutting the weeds down the TR3 tore everything out and left a perfect 3 inch seed bed. It looked great when i finsihed. Also we had no rain and the ground was as hard as it could be. The TR3 leveled, cleared and left a soft seed bed which now is a great looking lawn. The best thing about it was I had never even drove a tractor before and this was my first expirence. I have since used a box blade and a pulverizer and would pick the TR3 hands down. You don't ever have to change implements. It is half the price of a power rake and does more. You can drag off vegeations, rocks and go backwards. I looked and looked at everything, power rakes, box blades, everything and I think hands down the TR3 was the best choice.

I will be using it for the same thing that KCH used one for. I have 2 acres that have weeds and I wass going to rip them out and get ready for seeding.

I know I'm late to the TR3 party, but how does this thing work? I'm looking at a 2 acre field to yard project. I've got a tiller but that is all. Need something else for sure. Can they be rented? thanks, bw

Me, too. I really want a Harley or equivenlent, but can seem to fnd the money. What does this thing do and what is the cost?

They come in all sizes. A 5 footer which has a 6.5 rake is for I think 21 to 35 horse power tractors, it cost $2995.00 and is around 1000 lbs. The big difference between this and a power rake is the TR3 is more versatile. It is excellent for spreading piles of dirt or gravel. You can push material backwards and drag off debris. It is also great for gravel driveways which a power rake is not. There are not hydraulics or moving parts to break except a hydraulic top link is a most. It is very well made and you really can't hurt it. Not many people are familar with it but a lot of professional landscaper are. It was invented by a landscaper so you would not need a pulverizer, box blade or tiller and have to change and could just bring one tool to the job sight. They will send you a video, go to TR3rake.com for info.

I ordered the video of the TR3 and it came today. It is a very impressive implement and does a great job of smoothing and leveling. I think it should easily take the place of a box blade and a tiller and seems easier to work and with less parts to break.
Thanks for the tip

I watch the TR3 being used to drag show arenas at the Devon Horse Show. Even with wet rings, sometimes standing water, these implements seem to work very well.
