Anyone use FEL joystick to run a rear implement?

I lack a set of rear hydraulic remotes on my L3130. Has anyone tried using the FEL joystick (bucket) controls as a useable substitute?

I bought a couple implements that use a 3x8" hydraulic cylinder and thought maybe I could get by for a while using the FEL bucket control until I get the rear remotes installed.

The measured hose would be about 200" long from the FEL controls, under the tractor and back to the hyd cylinder on the implement.

The dealer quoted me about $200 for hose, fittings and couplers for two hoses.

One set of remotes installed runs about $640.

I have a rear-remote - but I've read of folks using a "selector valve" - basically rerouting the flow of oil AFTER passing through the control valve (ex. FEL). I happened to be leafing through the new Northern Tools catalog - and I remember seeing this:

If you have your rear cylinder plumbed in - just press the button and presto - your FEL could control the rear cylinder. Done with the rear cylinder? Just pull the button out again & back to FEL control. I think this will get you where you want to go...

Picked up my hoses this afternoon and "routed" them from the joystick, under the tractor and then back to the implement. It really worked well. I have a 10' wheel disc and a 4 row planter that use the same hyd cylinder/hoses set up.

Hope this helps anyone that is reading this...its working fine now and is a bit cheaper than a set of rear remotes. . . $229 vs $640.
