2013 Kioti DK45SE HST
Good day,

I just stumbled across this T-N-T kit, item: HTSP-DKSE and wonder how it might compare to other kits, such as those from Fit Rite Hydraulics or Hay Tools- specifically concerned about the cylinder drifting while in use due to no check valves, smooth, consistent operation, etc. I will be using a 600+ pound box blade grading very rocky, wooded property.

Thanks.

I bought their hydraulic top cylinder and it has a built in chreck valve. Works great. I also bought a hydraulic backhoe thumb from MIE. Very stout and they have SUPER customer service.

Thanks VTFireftr. That was my most important question. And it is great to know about their service.

Welcome to TBN, and the Kioti forum.
I have fit rite's T-N-T, and a bunch of stuff from MIE. Both are great companies to work with. I know I have a check valve in my T-N-T setup from Brian.
So which Kioti are you going to get: HINT -> DK-40 se/hst?!:cool2:
Check my sig below for items mentioned...
What size rocks are we talking about?

Coyote machine- Chuckle, chuckle- it is a DK40SE HST. My original quest began as a potential LS purchaser. But since I have been testing others and broadening my horizon, I have added the Kioti. Now if I could just find a HST model to test. I have a dealer 60 miles away who has been very responsive, but does not have a HST. Last week I also emailed two seemingly large dealers 100 miles away looking for a HST to drive and have yet to hear back from either. I am most interested in the Kioti as it features are great with the LS a close 2nd. On the Kioti I really like the 3PH control at the rear, which should make hookups a breeze, along with the 3PH crank-tilt assembly. And the rear remote hydraulic levers seem to have a better placement than those on the LS. But other than these items, the LS R4041H HST is near identical to the Kioti and the closer Kioti dealer quoted a price ~ 15% higher than the LS dealer.

Brian told me his setups do not have check valves as he does not believe in them, since they will not allow a 3PH that has a float function, to operate. He provided several examples that convinced me they were not necessary in my circumstances. The tractors I am looking at do not seem to have a 3PH float function, so I could go either way, but availability will probably be the driving factor.

Here is my original post in the LS forum concerning the property: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/ls-tractors/282831-potential-new-ls-r3039h-owner.html

I think the property would fit in very well with NE property or mountain property and is unusual for my area.

I have learned a lot from the fine folks of TBN (and the LS dealer- great folks) and am now planning on getting the Woods BSM72 box blade due to its 675# weight or the ETA at 630#, depending upon delivered price and availability. And very probably the grapple.

How did you run your FEL aux hydraulics for the grapple?

My DK45S has telescoping lower arms on the 3PH and that (IMO) is what makes it easy to attach implements. The rear lift lever is OK but it's hard to make fine adjustments. Connecting my PTO shaft is the hard part because the splined PTO shaft on the tractor will not turn, so I need to rotate the whole CV shaft to align the splines; and that can be stiff on some implements. The flip-up PTO shaft guard helps access a lot. My old Kioti dealer switched to LS after he lost his Kioti franchise (long story) and he was very positive about LS. But then he would be.

My FEL has hyd lines with QD's attached to the crossover bar between the loader arms. It is controlled by the momentary switch which came with my 3rd remote valve from Fit-Rite.
Ooops, guess I was mistaken about the check valve for the T-N-T setup; Brian is better versed in the 'plumbing'. Maybe it is a speed reduction valve to reduce the overall speed with which the pistons move? I'm not sure, but I believe he told me there is a valve built into the circuit.
Maybe you ought to look into the type of box blade that rotates the scarifiers; one example: Roll Over Box Blades RO-600
