Anyone using a MMM with a 2025R or 2032R to mow their grass?

I looking to see if anyone can share their experience using either of those models to mow their grass. How does it do with the size of the tractor? Thanks.

I have the 2032R picked it up last fall and only used the mower one time before hooking up the snowblower. It did a good job and with the hydrostatic trans I was able to get close to house, trees ect. If you plan on using the 3 pt be sure to get the mechanical lock for mower deck or the hydraulic lift. Only drawback is the reverse safety switch.

I have the 2025R with R4 tires and 60" mmm and for my situation it does very well. I have not done much mowing with mine since my primary mower is my Steiner and my terrain is hilly. It depends on your expectations and exactly what you are mowing as to how well it does for you. You can do some searches on the 2320 (2025R) and 2720 (2032R) since they are the same tractors just older model number. Are you planning on using it for other chores other than mowing?

I mow with my 2520 and the 62D Mmmm. It is great. Once you mow with a diesel you will never look back! I have the R4 tires and have had no issues with damaging or rutting my lawn, even on the freshly seeded areas. I take all other attachments and the FEL off for mowing to reduce weight and turning area. I don't think I am putting much more pounds per square inch onto the lawn then my parents zero turn, due to the large footprint of my tires.

I owned a 2320/2025R 62d mower for 7 years. It was my main mower. It did a great job as a mower & loader tractor. I upgraded to a 2720/2032R 62d mower. I mowed twice with it. It was just too big of a tractor for our property. It could not get into places that the 2320 could. The cut was fine. The 2320 was a equal loader tractor to the 2720.

The 2032R has more power & larger frame than the 2025R. Most of the lifting specs for the hitch & loader are about the same.

You need to decide which will work best on your property.

I have a JD 2320 with the 62D MMM, and the mower does a beautiful job. Great cut with our without the mulching kit. It's a high-quality mower that looks beautiful when I cut with it during the summer.

However, I have to disagree regarding the R4 tires... if I had it to do over again (and if the primary purpose was mowing) then I would get the turf tires because I DO have problems with the R4's in the spring and fall. I've tried to mow with it 3 different times this spring, but even after waiting 3-4 days for things to dry out, I can't do it without leaving tracks -- some of them quite bad. This year, I've used a neighbor's mower with turf tires instead. A tractor with a great cutting deck, but that can't mow when I need to mow without damaging the yard isn't helping me much.

I absolutely love my 2320... but personally, I find it a bit too big for weekly mowing chores -- still tough to get into some of the nooks and crannies in the yard. I timed the difference last year, and using a borrowed Zero Turn Mower let me cut the lawn in literally half the time that it took with the 2320 -- but then again, I have lots of hills and angles and trees / shrubs / other landscaping to mow around. If I had dry, relatively flat land, the 2320 with the 62D would be an awesome mowing machine, though.

I have a 2320 with the 62D mower deck. Used it as my main mower for 5 years.
Does a very good job and lawn looks nice.
Just this year I went to a 60 inch ZT not because of speed but because of all the obstacles I need to mow around.
For straight line mowing the 2320 and 62D mower did a great job.

The choice between R4 and turfs is dependent on your soil type. My 2320, with R4s, doesn't mark most of the areas I mow because they are sandy soil that drains well and it doesn't compact. There is a small area I mow that is clay and it leaves tracks if it is at all wet.

I have used a 2025r to mow about 6 acres for the last 2 summers with a mmm. It works okay but if the grass is a little tall is will bring the engine down to where if you dont stop and let it catch up the engine will die. i run into this when running a tiller too. my regret is not buying something with more power.
