Anyone using heated clothing?

Not glove related but still relevant.
You can buy a seat cushion with special filling which heats when you sit on it.
Be great to have on the tractor seat.

I also like the heated gel packs. Adhesive on one side is the best.
I use them when hunting. Strap one across the heart to keep the ticker pumping.
One on the lower back, one across the top of the back.
Roasty toasty.

I found this company that makes a lot of specialized products to keep you "hot"... at least warm

CLD (Cité Logique Drummond) inc. :: Tous nos produits

If the web site is in french, you chan change the language with the upper right corner drop list.

Also, the navigation is a little hard but if your are patient, you will find some very interresting products.

When plowing snow I contemplated wearing my heated motorcycle clothing but found that on my Kubota L39 without a cab and no extreme winds I am comfortable wearing layered clothing and a heavy down vest under my Carhartt Extremes Arctic-Quilt Lined Coat and Pants along with Knee high Wool Socks under my Sorel Glacier Snow Boots. I also wear my Insulated Motorcycle Gloves or Ski Gloves. On my head I wear my Russian Fur Hats that I used when I was in Siberia in the winter and if blizzard conditions exist with blowing snow I wear Full Face Masks and Ski Goggles. I find that keeps me very warm!!

I also have heated just about everything for my motorcycle rides, some times from Coast to Coast. I used Widder Lectric-Vests for over 25 plus years and then decided to get the Gerber Heated Jacket, Pants, and Gloves.

I had some real ongoing problems with Gerbers back in 2004 in as much that I had cold spots on my back, especially my lower back. I come to find that at the time Gerbers used the same amount and size of Heat Pads on Large Tall Jackets as the Small Regular Jackets. I'm 6'3" tall and I finally wound up getting extra heating pads installed at extra expense.

When you ride up through triple digit speeds at below freezing temperatures or putting 700 plus miles a day in winter rain it doesn't take much for a finger of extremely cold air to find its way to somewhere that causes you to feel real cold. I also wired my helicopters to be able to use my heated clothing when I flew without a door to hang out when lifting external loads when it's really cold or snowing.

I've done a lot of reading over at advrider.com on the reviews of heated gear. It seems the great majority of people on there that have tried many different brands end up with glowing reviews for warm n safe, both for quality and customer service. I'm not trying to push warm n safe but I did just as much research on my heated gear as I did with my tractor and I'm very happy with it. I have a lot of spare time on my hands when I'm at work. :)

However with a tractor you probably don't need top of the line expensive gear now that I think about it. :)
