I've been looking for a flail that has a finish cut look. Bobcat FC200 looks good but is a little expensive. Is it worth it?

Check out the Caroni flail cutters from AgriSupply. There are a number of people on TBN who have them (myself included) and everyone seems pretty happy. The six foot model (TM1900) has a cut somewhere in between a finish and bushhog but the smaller flails are all finsih cut.

I looked at http://www.agrisupply.com/ and didn't see any front mowers for skidsteer attachment. The PTO flails look good but I like the lower profile of the Bobcat flail.

I like the hammers on the Bobcat flail better than the Loftness, but I am wondering how well they cut, that is do they approach finish quality?

Sorry, it wasn't clear in your post that you were looking for a hydraulic powered skidsteer flail. Those are typically much more expensive.

I know this is a very old thread, but I'm posting this information in the hopes that it may help someone out in the future.

The roller at the rear of the FC200 mower rides on two roller bearing hub assemblies (6687612). They are fairly similar to a trailer hub. If you have some basic tools, they can be disassembled and the bearings can be replaced... Bobcat only sells the complete hub assembly, for around $700. New bearings are about $70.

The bearings are widely available 32205 and 32207 wheel bearings, and the seal is a 58x72x8 wheel bearing seal.

Hope this is helpful for someone down the road.
