I like the owners attitude when he's flying.
" hey! there's a sandbar!! I think I can make it!!!"

What?
Ariel Tweto.
I first saw her on the game show "Wipeout". Funny show, her claim to fame was "she's never been kissed"

Yah, her dad could take you on a nice joy flight and just tilt the plane and drop you a few thousand feet where a pack of bears are hangin'...
I haven't watched that show, but I have an autographed copy of Glacier Pilot by Beth Day (a biography of Bob Reeve who autographed it in 1966) with a lot of interesting pictures, too. I believe it was about 1982-84 when I went with one of my brothers to fly a new Cessna 152 from the factory in Wichita, KS, to Anchorage. My brother was selling airplanes at the time and was picking up one he'd sold. That was a 4 day trip and was more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Then while I up there, one day we flew down to Seldovia in a 6 place Piper to go halibut fishing. Another day we flew a Cessna 210 on floats out to a little lake in the wilderness to try trout fishing.
Yep, flying in Alaska is lots of fun and you get to see some beautiful country. Both of my brothers had licenses and owned little planes. One had a Piper Colt and I believe (don't recall for sure) the other one was a Piper Cherokee.
Years ago I used to teach people to fly using Cessna 152s, they're great little planes but I can't imagine taking one all the way up to Alaska. If I recall correctly, the range is only about 250 or 300 miles so you must have made a lot of stops for fuel.
