Anyone with experience with Kioti Customer Service??

Any hints? Also am I the only one whose only document of ownership is a Bill of sale (hand written) marked "paid" with no signature or serial #s?

First thing, I wouldn't have left the dealership upon purchase until that paperwork was fully and legibly completed. It is YOUR bill of sale and may be required down the line for warranty / repairs, parts. Was it an actual dealer? They should have known better. If you have problems getting the proper paperwork, I would call the District Rep or Head Office and make them aware.

Hopefully they will rectify that for you.

Cheers

Roger

When I bought mine, I received an actual form that the dealer entered all the information for my machine including the model, serial numbers, date of sale, and it was signed by him and me. Your paper doesn't mean much because it doesn't say what you purchased and when. Only that something was paid for. Hand written would still work if it had all the info and signatures. As mentioned, I'd call Kioti and get proper paperwork or you may be out of luck unless that dealer remembers you and is willing to work with you.

Hi again, I just posted to your other thread about the poor dealer prep on your new Kioti tractor.
There are official papers, contract papers, that the dealer should have filled out. Each person, you the buyer, him the seller, and Kioti Corporate gets a copy with serial numbers of tractor, loader and backhoe, separately. Each item has a separate serial number, needed to register for beginning of warranty period, REGARDLESS of actual date of manufacturer of the specific piece of equipment.
You MUST obtain these documents to insure your legal rights of ownership of this equipment, and for warranty claims.
How did you pay for the tractor?
I suggest you keep the original thread going, and let this one fade. It may make it easier for all if you keep this sage contained to one thread instead of two for ease of following the progress, JMHO.

He delivered me the machine at my home and wasn't very pleasant. I've been in touch with Kioti and a week later am still waiting for the Regional manager to respond to Kioti USA Customer Service.

From my conversations with Kioti USA it appears that he did file the paperwork with them so they have me listed as the registered owner. I started this tread because I wanted to branch out and get more input. I thought not everyone is reading the other, especially if they have a different model or line.

I paid with a certified check (thankfully; he wanted me to give him a personal check and have it clear BEFORE I could have the machine).

I hear you on wanting more feedback, it was merely a suggestion.:)

Good you show as a registered owner. I'd get K. Corporate to send you copies of all the filed paperwork so you have it for ant and all dealings with Kioti dealers and K. Corporate.
I'd also take pics of all serial plates on each piece with some background identifying each piece as being on your property, vs. a dealer's lot for your records and insurance files. This way you will have proof it is at your place if any question ever arose.
Ask K.C. to escalate your case immediately, and that you want a Regional Rep to contact you immediately. Take names, extension numbers and get email addresses to allow you to follow-up with anyone you speak to at K.C. Headquarters. Keep after them daily until you get satisfaction.
I have to say it chaps my butt every time I hear about K. C. not responding in a timely manner.:smiley_aafz::mur:

Spoke to Kioti and the offending dealer yesterday and today. He wanted to pick up the machine and promised to make it right; he seemed very sincere. I said I wasn't impressed with his first attempt, so I'd rather his record stay at 0-1. K-USA called back later and they are arranging for the local dealer to pick up the machine and do the repairs. No time frame yet but at least we're moving in the right direction. I will continue with updates if you like.

I've had lots of experience with Kioti Corporate, and as long of a process as it was, it ended very satisfactorily for me. No matter what the issue (I haven't read your other thread), Kioti will want to channel everything through your dealer anyway, so it's a good thing your dealer is taking another crack at making it right.

I would want the serial number on my receipt for insurance purposes and in case I wanted to resell the tractor. I'd ask your dealer to reissue one so it's all in the same pen/handwriting. Since Kioti acknowledges receiving the paperwork from your dealer, you're in the clear for warranty issues.

Hopefully your dealer is going to resolve any issue you're having, but if not and you end up back at Kioti, my advice is to be polite, persistent and patient, in that order.

I was polite, persistent and patient. I kept emphasizing that I just wanted my tractor to be up to standard. I was insistent that the original incompetent dealer NOT fix it and they are covering it under warranty thru the local dealer. At first they said it wasn't covered under warranty because it was the dealers fault and so it was up to him to make it right. He was willing but I don't trust him. I only let people burn me once.

Understandable. Sounds like your experience with Kioti customer service was similar to mine, quite satisfactory. Their initial response makes sense, there's nothing wrong with the product they built so the dealer responsible for causing the issues should fix it. I like how they considered your concerns and agreed to step up to the plate, that's good customer service IMO. I'm sure they'll have a few words with the original dealer.

Want to let us know who the dealer is? Having just purchased a Kioti I want to (need to) know if I need to be on high alert.

By PM only please... Otherwise it will be removed as it would constitute a "dealer problem discussion".
When posting, please keep in mind the forum rules for posting located here.

Also note this applies to URLs you put in your signature, even if the link is to your personal web site.

Specifically about dealer bashing.....You have to be somewhat suspicious of the motivation of anyone who joins TBN simply to 'share' their horrible dealer or horrible brand story. While everything they type might be true, they are only posting their side of the story. While you might be thinking that's obvious, most people don't react like it is. Specific names of people and/or dealer can get the poster in a lot of trouble which is another reason it's not allowed. While this rule might not be typical of other, or most, discussion forums on the Internet, it's been the policy on TBN since TBN came online.

You need to be on high alert. I hope you like your dealer, and it had better be the one you bought from.

3 weeks with out my machine, and looks like it will be at least one more.:mur:

You need to be on high alert because the Regional Rep, Tom, is not customer oriented. He's behind his dealers and, it appears, not cooperative with the home office. I hope you like your dealer, and it had better be the one you bought from.

You might want to read the post above your regarding what is restricted by TBN policy, especially when expressing your own personal opinion about people like regional reps for tractor companies, and how you see their interaction with their home office. Companies have begun to take consumers to court over 'bad reviews' of their products on the net, and they mean business, and have the resourses to inflict serious pain. AND, TBN doesn't allow dealer or brand name bashing, so it's a double edged sword. Seems to me your Kioti tractor is being fixed, so if I were in your shoes I'd be real cautious about any insinuation or otherwise negative implications about how they've handled you and your tractor. Can anyone actually speak with a Kioti Tech rather that Mellisa from customer service. I was told I couldn't unless I'm a dealer.
