PowerTrac 1850, Kubota RTV x900
A friend, whom I met through this Tractornet, has turned me on to a low hour 3940HST. Price is right, better than any help I was getting with Kubota or Deere, but Montana is a new name to me. Our area has one dealership, relatively close, but they come with mixed reviews.

Would love all insight on this machine. We have about 15-20 acres of sloped to severe slop that we intend to brush-hog and generally clean up.

Also, what size brush hog / box blade could I put on this tractor?

I'm betting Maka's pretty busy right now with the fair going on, but he's the best one to give information (albeit maybe a little biased since he's a dealer) on what that tractor can/can't handle. Hopefully he has a chance to chime in.

That is a stable machine and the HST would be nice on hills (in some people's view). I would run prob. a 5ft mower, 6ft if nothing but pasture cutting. Good luck, they are great machines.

I tried out a 3940hst on a dealers lot and was going to buy it. It is a great machine. The reason I didn't buy it was I decided to wait until the New R4944hst was out. (wanted more horsepower) I think that the Montanas are great machines, and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another if the need arose. Hope this helps.
