Anything wrong with saving money on diesel fuel?

My information comes from a oil deliveryman. I posed the question to him and the comment was with the exception of the price both fuels were the same. I believe this to be true for other areas as well. He went on to say that off-road diesel makes very little profit compared to using it as heating oil and using a different price structure.

If I were burning oil to heat our home I have no doubt as to how the oil would be purchased from this point forward. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Sulphur will become a non-issue starting in June when the new ULSD rules take place that reduce the sulphur from 500 ppm to 15 ppm (ppm=parts per million). According to the rules, the new fuel must be at the terminals in July and by September all fuel leaving the terminals must be ULSD.

BTW, according to an industry report I read, the additional cost of refining ULSD should be between 2.5 and 8 cents per gallon.
