Brimfield,

Did you not like my earlier idea? I can't understand your series idea without more detail.
I can't cut out the outdoor furnace circulator, it's there to keep the furnace from over heating. I do like the separate aqua stat idea. And by in series I am going to put an aqua stat on the incoming outdoor line and wire that to the indoor boiler return line.

Yes,put an aqua stat on the supply from the outside boiler;that should do it. If your outside goes down for some reason your inside should pick up the load.I would set it 15-20 degrees below the outside boiler.
Yea I plan to set the new aqua stat at 160*. There is a thermo valve on the furnace water line coming in that opens around 150*. This is to speed up the heating up of the water in the furnace and prevent condensation in the fire box. This will stop the indoor boiler from coming on.

I don't see why you need any aqua stats. Why can't you install a second thermostat in the house for the wood boiler? That's what I did. Wire the thermostat to a relay that will turn on the indoor pump that feeds the heating system. Set your old thermostat to 60 degrees and the new thermostat to 70 degrees. When the wood thermostat calls for heat, it kicks on the pump to your indoor heating system.

Before you commit to making the changes I'd suggest temporarily disconnecting the burner so it will not fire, and watch he the indoor boiler temps as it operates to see if it maintain sufficient heat.
I did disconnect the wire to the indoor boiler to stop the boiler from coming on. My Central Boiler 1450 furnace is the smallest but has no problem heating the house and hot water.

Don't put an aquastat on the outside boiler. That circulator pump should run all the time. It helps prevent your outdoor boiler from getting too hot and boiling over. Also I think it keeps a more constant water temp in the lines.

Go Here and click on the System and Wiring tab and see what they recommend for your type of installation.

I do plan to have the circulator from the furnace on all the time, it will keep the heat exchanger hot for when the indoor zones need it.
