Nah! American's have more pride than that. At least the ones I know, and there are many! We don't want handouts.

And I doubt our American armed service members would train that firepower on their family friends and fellow citizens. Not that the politicians would want them to.
Taking away the BoR is just the insidious way to gain control through humiliation.

I think you are giving politicians way too much credit to do the right thing. And there are some campaigning right now who, I believe, would order the military to fire on American citizens. And there are people in the military, I am afraid, who would obey those orders without question.

Most politicians don’t really want bold moves, preferring instead to slowly turn up the fire under that pot of water we are in.
