AR15 Sling Advice

I bought a Mossber AR15 a few months ago and am looking for sling advice. This had the M-lock fore end on it but I think I just want a 1 point sling. I also wonder how you hook this up. A lot of the pics seem to show a bracket installed between the buffer tube and the receiver that has a hole in it for the sling to hook into. How do you install this bracket? I can find all kind of info on slings but none that really show how to hook it up to the rifle.

Make sure you stake the castle nut when you finish.

How do you unstake a castle nut?

Pull hard with your armours wrench (spanner?:laughing and tap the end with you plastic hammer

I did and it still won't budge. Even broke one mounting block.

Take your dremel with a very thin slitting wheel and relieve as much of the staked deformed metal as you safely can. Then put on your armours wrench/spanner, and put some down pressure and hit the end of the wrench with your plastic hammer to offer some impact. Impact will always loosen things that pressure wont.
