Wow! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif That was some change! From mountain man....to....dapper dan! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It is amazing how they get us to do things that we may not necessarily want to do, isn't it? I'm fortunate that she only occassionally mentions that she'd like to see it "get sanded". /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Well.......I kinda picked the better ones on purpose - had to do a wedding for a close friend, so I got spiffed up, plugged in the contacts, etc.. I omitted the recent Christmas morning pics with thick glasses, dirty T shirt, and gym shorts. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Tried to morph Bird's signature pic into a Frito Bandito look, but I'm not very good at that and it came out dumb - maybe someone more talented could fix him up with a nice set of those pencil thin sideburns and little tuft of goatee I see everywhere nowadays.......?

In a vain attempt to stray back to the subject, I hope NITE contnues to update their web site - you're gong back, I assume?

Mark,

I just took a few minutes to visit N.I.T.E.'s web site a little bit. Did you notice that the only item listed under New Arrivals is the Allis 9650, and that the picture of the machine was taken when there was snow on the ground? This is a New Arrival ? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I also went through every listing they have to the left on the home page, and there was not one item listed under any of them!

Believe me, there was a lot of stuff all over their lot. Granted, there was not a lot of new stuff sitting around other than the trailers and the row of Zetors that I saw, but there was all kinds of implements and older trucks around.

I will seriously consider N.I.T.E. when it comes time to buy a trailer, if I can't find a good deal locally. I saw a variety of new 20' trailers (car haulers, landscape, equipment) with price ranges from $1,500 to 2,100. They also sell used trailers, although I didn't check any of those out.

people in my home town complain now that it takes 14 minutes to get across town instead of 11 like it used to!

I long for the days of 14 minute trips across town. It now takes me 20 /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yeah, Garry, I did notice the lack of details in the equipment sections. Liked their mission statement, or business plan, or whatever. Maybe since it's a new site we just got in too early. There's a big Kubota dealer right on the NH/MA border whose site has been stagnant - basically just a one page deal, for a long time. I'm going down this weekend and I plan on swinging over and talking to them - my brother lives 5 miles away - that would be neat!

14...20 minutes across town! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Man you guys have it easy. Try 45 min. to 1 hour here. And that is not during rush hour. 1 1/2 hours or more.

Sure must be nice not being in the big city! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Yeah, if I make all the lights it takes me about 7 minutes to get to work right in the center of town, which is about 4 miles from here. When we move way out in the country it will up the time to 11 minutes. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

For comparison, when my late grandmother was a little girl, fresh off the boat from Hungary, sometime around 1904, they built the second to the last house on a road, in my grandmother's words "was way out in the country" . Today, from that house to the center of town is about 1 minute /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I enjoyed this thread even though I am too young and fit to understand many of the references. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I guess they put up that sign for people like me. There is a used tractor lot about 30 miles from me that has about 20acres of used tractors and equipment. Getting a salesman to walk out there with you is like pulling teeth. So, I just brought along my John Deere key and tested them out as I felt the need. (when I was looking at used machines) Funny thing, though, I left my key there the last time I visited.

Doesn't New Holland have "master" keys too??

Hmmmm..... might be something I'll have to consider when I'm making my final decision! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oke

Why do those air boats have seats up so **** high?

Looks like a very high centre of gravity there?

Probably for the same reason as the other prime swamp transportation (see attached hunting buggy) - to spot the game. Sort of like a tuna tower on a sportsfishing boat.
