Are All Kubota Front Wheels/Tires Garbage, Or Is It Me?

Do you know how much faster it is to plug a tire compared to patching or replacing a tube

People have far more troubles with tires not sealing to the wheel than they do repairing punctures. Tires flex/move, especially tractor tires, with their uses in fields and woods with mud, etc. We bend the edge of the rim on a rock or stump.Then there's snow. Water, mud,snow gets into the edge of the rim, rust/corrode and you have problems. Steel rims or aluminum, it makes no difference...although alum is a bigger problem.

I'll take tubes any day.

Tires have been my only BX problem...

My problem went away by having my rear tires foam filled and using slime for my fronts...

I'm also a big fan of tubes and have a lot of tube type tires...

The boat trailer tires are Goodyear from 1957... tube type wide whitewalls... excellent at holding air... now they make the 6 blocks to the launch a couple of times each summer... almost 60 years old!

Have had five kubotas over the past few years and no tire problems at all. Biggest obstacles to keeping air in tires is avoiding pulp hooks and such left/dropped in the woods over the past few hundred years. Got to keep careful watch!

Both the front tires on my bx24 has a sidewall problem . I forget the brand they were the originals.

No problems with the Titan's on my Kubota granted they probably have 30-50 times the volume. I've checked the pressure a couple times in 4 years and aired them up once besides the initial setup when I got the tractor

The L3800 tires have been problem free... it was only the BX23 where the tires are the weak link.

I had a lot of tire deflation problems with the fronts of my BXs and my L-3700, mostly because I let the pressure drop and they would roll off the bead. I considered using tubes, but after filling the tires with "Slime" I haven't had any problems.

So does anyone else have problems with their front wheels? My rears have been good, but not the fronts.

I have experience with a BX2200 and a couple of other BX2320 etc. Those small fat tires in front are fine for lawns (in turf tire format) and make neat little machines be they Deere, MF or Kubota. However, ...
1) They are vulnerable to punctures. I've removed many screws from them.
2) If you load the FEL heavily (say chock full of firewood or a good load of gravel or too many bags of mulch...) the low pressure little tires that looked fine when mowing get very flat. You really have to put in a lot more air pressure than usual if you are doing heavier loader loads.
3) Others have covered the territory: Put in tubes or slime the tires -- take your pick. I do say that air pressure is more critical on these little guys -- yes they are still low pressure tires but I keep mine stiff. If you continue to have problems but not so many punctures I vote for tubes.

Not on a Kubota but I had a problem on some Deere front tires I had replaced. Slow leaks were driving me nuts. The guy in the shop resealed the beads with rubber lube and then he inflated the tires to the max--maybe overinflated a bit. He said to leave them that way for a couple months and now no leaks and it's been that way for a few years.

I have tubed some as well but prefer tubeless if I can make it work.
