Not looking like many if any former FT dealers are going with LS
Could you blame them?

Nothing like getting stung by the effects of a lopsided contract.
Like in Baba O'Reilly... "we won't get fooled again."

6 months ago you could get everything from...
good info

plenty of it, especially if one asked the right questions and pieced things together

to wild conspiracy theories
just wait, partner. think back a year or so ago... theories and suggestions that were then thought to be "wild," are proving to be substancial.

to some sort of coded messages that the average person could not understand,
You're referring to RedNeckFord. Jargon? Yes. Don't be foolish into discounting Dude's talent and experience. RNF has razor sharp intellect.

I guess this farmtrac thing has about run its course.
Don't believe it. Perhaps the pace has slowed and stuff that's happening is less salient. But this battle is far from over.

I hope LS can make a go of it over here
I hope they can would follow through with their original promises, then offer a lopsided financing contract where dealers take all the risk and *maybe* get a few crumbs back.

Eric_Phillips:
...my FT dealer ... has a couple FT's along with some green and red tractors. The green are not JD.

Montana green units -- courthouse steps auction winners owners of Farmtrac.

Nope can't blame them after finally finding out a little info about the deal. Second partner I did'nt say the conspiracy theories weren't true, because I don't know if they are or not, I just said you could read about them on here. Third I read many posts on here that I did'nt understand from several different posters and I did'nt single any one of them out or discount their talent ,experience or intellect. Fourth, I do believe this farmtrac thing has about run it's course for the owner's of the FT tractors, was'nt talking about you dealer's getting retribution for all the shady things that was done to you, I hope you do. Fifth, I did'nt know what kind of promises LS made to anyone, that is why I come on here to try to find info, cause there aint no dealers left in my neck of the woods, although in between my original post and your response, I had a former dealer that I have been getting parts from send me a PM and filled me in why things were so quiet from the dealers, I don't think I have posted since. You made a lot of assumptions from what I posted that were not intended the way you took it, maybe this will clear it up.

N. Fla. Lineman et al,

>> You made a lot of assumptions from what I posted that

Thanks for your detailed response to my last post. That's not rhetoric -- I mean it. The sincerity and rigor of your efforts are ones to model.

Your work deserves the proper treatment, so let's take a look...

>> I didn't say the conspiracy theories weren't true, because
>> I don't know if they are or not, I just said you could
>> read about them on here.

My statement about lack of belief in possible conspiracy theories was not directed toward you, but intended to be a threshold statement. More accurately stated, it would've read "for those who failed to believe the so-called conspiracy theories of a few of us...".

>> I read many posts on here that I didn't understand from
>> several different posters and I didn't single any one
>> of them out...

Again, true. You did not point fingers. You simply mentioned the periodic difficulty in understanding some correspondence.

(I could easily insert a joke focused on "Jethro" (Max Baer Jr.) and his "cypherin'" struggles.)

Seriously, though... I'm the one who named my good friend (no sarcasm there, he's a superb guy!) RedNeckFord (ironic handle, as the guy is intellectually *far* from being a redneck). I made one huge error that I will rectify now: during one juncture, I was just as guilty -- if not more -- than RNF for excessive use of jargon.

I received a *number* of e-mails on this topic, stating two important things:
1) we couldn't understand what you're trying to say and
2) this jargon is so difficult to slog through that it really makes us lose the desire to log on to the post.

Both of those statements were a wakeup call.
They reminded me of the purpose of this blog: to serve as a communication and information tool between the Farmtrac retailers, their customers, the overall farming community and other interested persons (such as RNF and me).

If we weren't effectively communicating "the word" to the aforementioned, that was defeating the objective. If it was turning people off (and away), that was even *worse.*

From that day forward, I've confined "entertainment value" content to my reality TV singing show contract analyses. The people of -- and tied to -- Farmtrac deserve my unoccluded efforts.

>> or discount their talent, experience or intellect.

Nope. You never did. Again, it was a threshold statement... "it'd be foolish if anyone would discount their...".

>> I do believe this farmtrac thing has about run it's
>> course for the owner's of the FT tractors, wasn't
>> talking about you dealer's getting retribution for all
>> the shady things that was done to you, I hope you do.

I clearly misunderstood you.
Like you, I hope good wins out over crookedness and the Farmtrac retailers are rightfully compensated for hardships they've had inflicted upon them. I also hope justice is served to the perpetrators -- in fact, make it a double-order of justice for those beotches! -- as a deterent to those considering such stuff.

>> I didn't know what kind of promises LS made to anyone...

They were overly ambitious about their U.S.-based start date and made parts and service promises during a southeastern city recruitment swing to meeting attendees they have yet to follow through on.

But fairness is important: LS's North American Sales Executive "Joey" Sim has been a standup guy throughout the process, giving the dealers and this writer a generous amount of his time and effort. He's attended optional meetings. Other LS persons that will remain nameless for now have also been very helpful. And LS's move to take Textron Financial to Edgecombe County court this past spring -- subsequently uncovering a pandora's box of dirty dealings by Farmtrac and Textron Financial personnel -- could warrant LS a long line of gratitude/forgiveness for any comparatively small missteps they've recently taken.

If only LS would offer equitable, in-house financing for their products... it'd be like Jupiter aligning with Mars.

>> that is why I come on here to try to find info

In that sense, I'm just like you. While a staffer at Tarboro-based The Daily Southern, a little old lady would intentionally call in the middle of the night and periodically leave a message at my desk phone about the Farmtrac debacle.

It always closed with the rickety, warbling elderly lady's voice urging, "Sonny, keep digging."

You've got it, Granny. The digging is on!

Blueliner, thanks for your detailed response, it would have took me an hour or more to have typed that much, due to my ciphering problem LOL:D, you are exactly right I struggle a little bit understanding what I read from time to time, but it sounds like we are on the same page and I do appreciate all your dedication and hard work in trying to bring the people that created this mess out of greed to justice.
