Are Kubota and Kioti from the same line?

"If Kiotis were yellow or neon green would threads like this even come up?"

If they were yellow, would they be "knocking-off" Minneapolis-Moline, Caterpillar, John Deere Industrial, or White American?

If they were neon green, would they be "knocking-off" Duetz (sp?) (or is it Duetz-Allis) or the early Yanmars or Steiger or Terex?

If they were dark green would it be John Deere Ag?
If they were blue, would it be Ford/New Holland, Long Farmtrac?
If they were red, would it be Case-International, International, McCormick, Farmall, Massey Ferguson, Mahindra?
If they were tan, would it be Cub Cadet, David Brown?
If they were purple, would it be Long?
If they were grey/silver, would it be Agco-White?
If they were light blue, would it be Mitsubishi?
If they were orange, would it be Kubota, Zetor, Agco-Allis, Allis Chalmers, Belarus?

Oh....waitaminute....they are orange. Have been orange since they began sales in the US about 17-18 years ago. Wasn't a big deal then...just here in recent years....how 'bout that.

Well, this all has been an interesting discussion and we all have voiced alot of our opinions and I hope we all have learned a good lesson from all of this. "Watch out what you post because it can come back and haunt you." I do apologize if I offended anyone or their tractor. I will think about what I post or say from now on.

You do need to be somewhat carefull.
Members spent a lot of time and money on their tractor purchase and do get offended when someone implies they bought an inferior product.
What do you think would happen if a member made the statement that their tractor brand was far better built than Kubota ?
I'd sure feel sorry for that person and the beating they would take !!

OK, point taken /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif but there are zillions of colors, how about beige, taupe, gray, watermelon, pumpkin yellow, maroon, brown, azure, tan, baby blue, hazel etc.---oh, I know, Kubota Orange 1 out of a universe of colors they choose, hmmmmmmmm.
I am not against Kioti, as I have said before, they look like a fine unit and a great value. J

Guess how much trash talk I got from owning the Belarus tractors. And when I went from Ford to Dodge diesels... oh my.. Not to mention I'm from a GM only family.. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I've never been brand loyal, who knows what my next tractor addition will be. It will be around 80hp and 4wd, thats all I know. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

All I care about is if I like the machine, have a good dealer that will support it with no parts flow problems. I stopped running Belarus as my every day tractors, because it takes too long to get parts sometimes. My Belarus parts source is a 2 hour drive to Alabama. That becomes a problem when you really need the tractor for work, but its ok for the AL tree farm. I work out of state too, so its important to have a tractor brand with lots of dealers.

The Kubota is for the mowing/ bush hogging trails/small field work and pulling logs where I need a small tractor and like the ease of use, fit and finish, size and GST. I prefer the large "imports" for field work, I can't stand spending thousands more for paint and all I need is a regular gear trans for the big work.
