OK, I might of put my foot in my mouth this time. I guess I should'nt knock it until I've tried it. I own a Kubota and I love it and we will soon have a Kioti dealer in my neighborhood and I will check them out. It's just a matter of opinion I guess.

Don , you're a good person to say that !!! We all have our likes ,and dislikes on any subject or product . Personally I find any tractor better than a shovel, wheel barrow and pick .
Not to mention a brush hog is better than a Sling Blade most of the time /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif All the best, John

No you shouldn't !
The ones that knock Kioti always seem to be the ones that have never tryed Kioti or sometimes even seen one !
I've had the chance to run a few Kubota's and I have been a long time John Deere owner.
My Kioti has been every bit the tractor as any of the others I have used.
If Kubota is better built you would have to show me where because I just don't see it.

Always remember a tractor is a tractor is a tractor until it breaks down when you really need it and then its the biggest piece of junk you have ever owned. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is a fact for : Green, Red, Blue, Orange, Slightly different Orange, Yellow and any other color a tractor was ever produced in.

I have personally owned JD, Case/IH, Farmall, Ford and now a Kubota and they are all the same. They kept me from breaking my back on manual labor.

Just my two cents on the subject: Dang now I forgot what the subject was /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I see it as this.........Why would anyone buy a knock off or a generic brand.....because they can not afford the namebrand.

Kubota is an industry leader. Kioti is a follower. Stick with the leader.......you will go places. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hillslider, Kubota did not invent the compact tractor. They are a knockoff if you will of something else. Have they brought innovation and quality to the market ? Shure, but I would be willing to bet that the majority of the buyers on this forum could afford a Kioti or a Kubota. It's just some see more value for their dollar with a Kioti. Im shure when Kubota started selling tractors in the US back in the 70's there were plenty of ney sayers bashing the new kid on the block, but their quality brought them where they are today. After seeing the current crop of Kioti's Kubota has plenty to worry about.

I do not think I said that Kubota invented the CUT....I am quite sure.

Kubota did re-invent it though. And as far as value goes I felt Kubota was right there for the biggest bang for my buck. I tried the Kioti and have a friend that owns one and have had the chance to use it in the real world. And there is a Kubota sitting in my shed for that reason. You will never convince people that there Kioti is a lesser quality machine. They will stand by them and yell out loud and get defensive just like a Kubota owner would when talking to a JD owner. Kioti is going after Kubota and that will make Kubota even better.

Hillsider, Your comment implied that Kioti is a cheap imitation of a Kubota. I was just making a point that someone else may think Kubota is a poor impression of a Deere. We all have our opinions. I just see too many people on here trying to justify their purchase by bashing someone elses.

I did not bash anyone........I am relating my opinions......To bad there are so many who get all defensive just because there opinions are different. And you know what is great .......this question is asked about every 3-4 weeks so we will be able to voice our opinions again! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

"Thanks, for a minute there I thought they were from the same line. Same color and so simular. I know the one big difference" Kubota is a great tractor"

Donny, you did it now /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif, for the record, the only tractor you are allowed to bash on TBN is Kuobta /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. You are not allowed your opinion, you cannot say what you think /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
The Kiotis I have seen are real nice, they don't really have an equivlent to the B series. They look like they are more comparable to the L, not Grand L but the L type. There I see similar sizing in bolts, cylinders, metal guages, overall weight etc. The B series are a lighter duty tractor. Like the Kioti the Kubota L type do not have hydros either. My neighbor has an L type, it is much heavier than my B2410 even though it is only 24 or so horses also I think, it is much bigger too and the engine has more displacement.
