If you are referring to the compact Masseys, they are made by Iseki in Japan. Most of the larger MFs are made in France and Brazil.

LOL Jerry, what gives that away is the paint on all the nuts and bolts to let the workers know they are tight... I have always wondered why Japan dose that.

They do it for factory quality control and as an indicator for the end user of when his nuts are coming undone..

Hey,
This is a smart idea. All Japanese maufacturers do this. Ity is also required by parts suppliers who supply Japanese companies. It lets everyone know that it was torqued to spec, and if the paints lines suddenyl dont lign up, you know it backed off.

the research i have been doing the last 4 months any thing under 80 hp is made in japan, south korea and india no company not even JD is made in the usa. some of the japan companies r building factors in china and having parts made there and than assembly in japan.
u get different stories all the time. i wish they would just say were it is made. if u look at the id plate it will tell u. usual on the front axle or near the engine.

The compacts are built by Iseki in Japan. The economy models ( like the 400 series ) are built in Brazil, except the 431, which are built in either Turkey or Poland ( Ursus ), and all the more complex ( HHP ) electronic models are built in Beauvais, France.
Some Deer3es are built in Waterloo Ioawa.

It is surprising how many people think that compact tractors with American names are built in America. The truth is that most smaller tractors sold in America including big names like John Deere are built overseas. Compact tractors are built in a variety of countries including Japan, Korea, and China and they have been for many years.
Many American companies import these mostly assembled tractors to the United States, then they do just like you are going to do, bolt on the wheels and install the battery, then they park it along side the many other tractors at the dealership awaiting their new owner. You may not be surprised that our American automobile industry operates in much the same way where parts are manufactured in many different countries and shipped to America for final assembly.
