Are My Remotes Putting Out Pressure?

I've been posting on the "HYDRAULIC" discussions - "JD Log Splitter SAGA Continues !!! " - with a pressure problem on my log splitter.

"I have my log splitter hooked to the remotes on my JD 2355 65 hp Tractor. I pull the SVC lever to the rear to create the flow to the splitter."

After trying most of the suggestions I think I have a problem with my remotes.

What's the best way to check if the remotes are putting out the pressure as per my manual, which says, 2800 psi work load.

Plug a gauge into one of the ports, then operate the lever to energize that ports. The pressure displayed is what the PRV (pressure relief valve) is set for) Check both ports...

I'm not sure what manual you have, but 2800psi is too high for a 2355. The correct pressure should be 2250-2350 psi. I looked at you other thread in hydraulics, and you do need a closed center valve to operate properly. Using a open center valve on a closed system can cause hydraulic overheating and cavitation of the pump. I saw in your photos, that you have two hydraulic outlets on the tractor. Have you tried hooking the splitter into the other set of couplers? Does the three point hitch go up quickly and smoothly?
