Are Prepaid Cell Plans A Good Idea ?

If you ONLY want the cell phone for an emergency I don't think you need a monthly plan from anyone. You can still dial 911.

I just renewed my tracphone and my wifes on line,We are set until Apr 8. I also have a coupon booklet thats has lots of extra free minutes,just type in the code and your are set. I like the feature where I get e-mail notices on line when it is getting close to renewal time.
Also the phone displays how many minutes you have left and the renewal date as well.
