Are rural king tractors yanmars?

Steve,
Hundreds of years, implies initiated prior to 1818. The second revelation is that "most folks" are aware of firms w/ historic beginnings, and actively seek out these firms for the purpose of paying a premium for the goods they produce. All pretty silly stuff since "most people" can barely name the current US President, much less his Cabinet Members, even allowing for the recent rotation of the chairs. Aside: owned pinto wagon and corvair convertible, wish both sat in the garage today. They were company provided vehicles to employees.

Diverting back to the thread, it might be interpreted that a RK tractor is at least " partially", a yanmar product, defined by its' engine.

EDIT:
Groo,
Is it possible that a "marketing thing" can also coexist as an indication of quality? Perhaps they believe in the product quality to the degree that said belief is expressed in writing? Is the proverbial glass always half -empty?

well of course they wouldn't slap a waranty on their product without considering the costs ascociated with it.
If you slap an 8 year waranty on a 2 year product, it is going to cost you a whole bunch. I am sure RK researched the likely waranty costs and then made the marketing decision, and took the expected furture costs into account when picking the MSRP. If two companies sell the same product with a diferent wanranty, it is a marketing decision. It is most likely not a difference in paint quality. Like I've said numerous times; I am sure it will last just fine. What it will not do is last 1/3 longer than the same tractor with a 6 year waranty or even the 1/7th longer than the same tractor with a 7 year waranty.

I will say where I do like a longer waranty is when I have to take a loan out on something. I don't carry a loan longer than the waranty on a vehicle. It would irritate me to no end to not be able to afford to fix something because I had to make the monthly payment on it. Once again; no direct corelation to the quality of the product in question. Its is a financial consideration.

Please post pictures of TYM, Kioti, and LS tractors with over 2k hours on them ? Along with those pictures, I'd be interested to know what the service history is. I can walk around "my neighborhood" and find ten's if not hundreds of Cases's, JD's, Kubota's and Yanmar's ( green painted Yanmar's ) with over 2k hours.

My archaic rational tells me that these manufactures have built quality machines for hundreds of years and they will continue to build quality machines for hundreds of years in the future. I'm done responding to this thread because you are obviously correct and the rest of us just a bunch of bumbling buffoons who like to spend money.

@soundguy I apologize for the sending this thread to the toilet. You mention one thing you see different from the machine you bought and people see that as being a knock on that machine.

CaseIH under 60HP tractors are made by LS

that RK55HC - 55HP 3-Range Hydrostatic Cab Tractor for 30k sounds a lot cheaper than the yanmar yt359, too bad they don't sell them at my rural king.
Where is your Rural King located? We are expanding RK Tractors to more RK stores.

We wanted to provide a warranty that outlasted the longest loan terms we offer, which is seven years. Our powertrain warranty is eight. At RK, we run our business as our customers would. Simple.

All, We don't normally jump into discussions regarding our tractors unless we see substantial inaccurate information or someone asks a specific question that we are best positioned to answer. Not interested in having a presence on any other brand's forum, but a Tractorbynet user brought this thread to our attention and we'd like to respond with some details that may clear things up for everyone.

1. RK Tractors are made by TYM to RK specs. Little known fact is that TYM is the second largest manufacturer of under 60HP tractors sold in the U.S., behind only Kubota. The operative word is manufacturer; TYM makes many more tractors for other brands than it does its own. To be inside the industry is to know who makes what. You'd be surprised by who does and does not make their own under 60HP tractors.

2. RK Tractors range from 19 to 74HP. All but the 74 have Yanmar Tier IV engines in them, the sames engines in fact that are in Deere's under 60HP tractors. Yanmar supplies the engines to TYM, they have no other affiliation with RK Tractors other than we purchase parts and receive service training from Yanmar USA. The RK74 has a Tier 4 Deutz engine in it.

3. RK Tractors are sold exclusively through our own Rural King stores. There are 40 RK Tractor stores today, that number will extend to all Rural King stores in the near future.

4. All RK Tractors are premium spec, there are no tractor options to buy because everything is in the base machine. We have chosen to make our tractors as capable as possible and have our customers purchase things like rear remotes separately.

5. We get asked all the time how we can sell RK Tractors far below the prices of competitors. Very simple. We buy direct from the tractor manufacturer and sell directly to the tractor user, not dealers. We are the only brand that does that.

6. All RK Tractors come with the longest powertrain warranty in the industry; 8 years, parts & labor included, no deductible. So many brands claim that their warranty is longer. None are. We will open our third tractor assembly center this fall, feature service at every RK Tractor store and operate a fleet of service trucks manned by highly skilled service techs.

7. All tire and wheel assemblies are made by Titan. Frankly, the discussion about how many holes are in the wheels is a head-scratcher. Tractor manufacturers don't design their products to fail. If it has six holes, that's the optimum design for that wheel.

8. RK Tractors is the fastest growing brand of under 60HP tractors sold in the U.S. We are not able to provide specific volume, but our biggest issue these days is getting tractors built fast enough to keep up with demand.

Hope that information helps. Again, we do not cruise these forums because some users are in fact competitors, and it is not our practice to enter into debates with anyone. We let our company and our tractors speak for themselves.

RK Tractors: More Tractor. Less Price.

RK Tractors

Thank you.

Slight correction to point # 4. Above, meant to say NOT have our customers purchase things like rear remotes seaparately. Everything is included in the base tractor.

Personally I'd be a little hesitant on buying a 55HP machine with a 6 lug rear axle. Kinda like buying a three quarter ton truck with a 6 lug axle. It will probably be okay but I guess I like the idea of having an 8 lug axle like JD, Kubota and Yanmar on their 55HP class machines.

i'm looking at the rk37 and 55. that extra horsepower for only 5K$ is tempting. and the 55 isn't so big that you can't use 5' and 6' implements with it either.

Groo,
You are making assumptions not established in fact. Sawyer is correct, TYM builds a sound tractor, the price point is simply a market tool designed to increase market share. If you have facts, bring them forward, otherwise, you comment is just noise.

For the heck of it I was doing a comparison of the rk 37 and the Nortrac ?35.

the NT 35 right now is a 16K$ tractor with loader, open station, basic trans.

The rk 37 is a 20K tractor with loader, open cab, basic trans.

the RK has? 2 more hp, and apparently, remotes. both units are 4wd.

The l102 loader for the RK is a 2100# lift to height, while the NT loader is 1460# lift to height.

Of those 2.. I'd go for the RK.. not that I need the remotes.. but the loader specs make we wonder about the frame strength on the tractor and the loader.
