AKKAMMAN, you would know more then me on that but, my JD 400 is closed center and has a priority valve on it, and is also about same age. I guess looking at picture again pump would more then likely be fixed.

If nothing else I figured since his thread kinda went dead right away, a post will start bringing more out to him of what he can do.

LOL...I agree...have been following this thread for a while...couldn't hold it back any longer...

I was talking in general terms (my mistake!! :eek:)...JD always gone their own way on hydraulic design....Yes JD have a load sensing system with a fixed pump, closed center....and a dump valve....load signal from control valve, "activates" the dump valve to close...

Yes thats at 100% a fixed pump, but hard to tell from pic if it is a vane or a gear pump....I "guess" a gear....if cross section of pump is kinda oval....it is most likely a gear pump...a more square cross section, most likely a vane pump...

It is a gear pump.

I would also think about if you want a set of rear remotes to go with the loader.
I do not know if your 3 ph has a constant depth control or not??? I would assume so, and that is why I would probably use a PB valve.

Constant depth control if that equals draft control then yes it does.

I think I have to have a power beyond valve.

Same pumps as before, but another question will these operate a hydraulic motor (hopefully both vavles in each will)?

If the motor is just handling gravity or resistive loads..a regular spool for a double acting cylinder would work....but If there is a motor that accumulates a lot of inertial energy, you most likely will need a motor spool in the valve....a motor spool allows motor to turn in neutral....A and B ports both connected to tank....With a motor spool you also might need a brake system to keep motor from drifting when loaded...

The lime spreaders from the local fertilizer company require four hydraulic connection (2 sets of couplers) to run. I'd like to be able to run their lime spreaders since it costs much less the having them spread it or having custom operator spread it for me.
