Are the REALLY OK or are they crap?

I posted this when the subject came up the last time. When I got rid of my 1st Jinma, I got back what I paid for it. When I upgraded the 2nd Jinma to my current KAMA, I got more in trade that I paid for the original Jinma.

We have been getting $ 5500- $6500 for the few used Jinmas we have taken in on trade, this is with loader and typically 2 year old tractor with 200-300 hours that would have sold new for about 8,000, so $1500 for $2500 depreciation. I think any tractor, especially those sold by brands that offer 0 percent financing, etc on new units (practically everyone BUT the Chinese) will experience at LEAST that much in the first two years...

I second that about friends. A lot of info around here and few battles. Everyone has opinions but it opens up the thoughts. Interesting place and a wealth of knowledge around here.

Guys, If I really thought about it I would have little reason to buy a tractor, The truth be told I have one lone acre, most of which is covered by a 2,200 SQ ft shop , 800 sqft hobby building, 400 sqft barn, 2-256 sq ft storage sheds, 200 sq ft green house and my home. Yet we own a 284le tractor with FEL, Tiller, box blade, grading blade and many other attachments. Why ? because I am a city boy who loves tractors, I love to read about them, drive them and find uses for her. The time I have spent reading this web site and the people I have met through it, the ideas you have given me are the highlight of my day, Thank you all !! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

There's a disc about that size for sale at the CAL Ranch store near us. I don't know if you have those near you, but just a thought.

This has been a really good thread. I am new to the site, and found it while doing research for my upcoming purchase. I have a question that I'm sure it has been answered before, so if someone can point me in the right direction, that would be great. Otherwise, perhaps ya'll could answer it here. Here goes: Through my research, I am seeing a lot of different new terms "Jimna" etc.. and I know that business's sell different chinese tractors under diferent names.. Who can tell me what tractors have what manufactures, and what trade names they are sold under. ? ?
