Are these Rototillers any good?

I originally bought one that was similar to the one you're looking at. Lasted about 20 feet.... Gear box imploded. I luckily was able to take that one back. I ended up buying one from Iowa Farm Equipment. American made and very solid. Wasn't cheap but wasn't terribly expensive either. Does a great job. Good luck.

Refurbished Grey market tillers. It's a crap shoot, You may get one thats last 10-yrs. with lite use or like another poster stated (5-feet).

Hey Chuck what price were you Quoted? Just curious

$1450 for a 7-footer.

I think I'd be much better off spending a few hundred more and getting a more reliable one from somebody like CCM. Their SR-210 82" heavy-duty model is $2,350. It'd be worth it to know I was getting something of quality that would last.

I know this is an old topic but I thought I would add my experience to the tillerguy's IGQN tillers. I bought one in 2008 and have used it on my hard South Texas soils without issue since. I keep the gear box level at that recommend by tillerguy, about half case capacity rather than the lower level on the dipstick (I actually cut off and remarked the dipstick to match tillerguy's recommendation). I also keep the slip clutch adjusted to 10 FLBS per his recommendation. At the end of use, loosen the hex nuts to zero pressure and reestablish the tension with a torque wrench before use.

I consider this implement a tank, it is built like one! The finish has weathered on my as it sits out in our constant sun. Our soils are extremely hard and a bit rocky but I have experienced little problems. tillerguy includes two spare tines and two spare mounts for the tines. I have sheared the mount bolt loosing on a tine once and sheared the complete tine and mount off the hub once but recovered all the parts later as they resurfaced in the field. It was easy to weld the mount back in place. So, I still have the two sets of spares after all these years.

This is a video I just took with my phone so the quality is what it is. This is a food plot is an oil well pad site that was abandoned. The caliche was scrapped off and stored for use which left me at the clay base. The IGQN has chewed through this layer and over the years left me a with soil that supports a productive food plot vs. a scar on my ranch.

I'm waiting on tillerguys next shipment of 8' tiller/seeders and will buy one based on my experience with my current unit. My ranch has food plots spread out over an huge distance and the tractor time moving between plots with individual implements consumes quite a bit of tractor time. Researching the brand, I found that they offer a new planter that incorporates both seed and fertilizer boxes so I'm going to see if I can purchase it for complete no till planting that suites my needs.
