American Kennel Club recognized breeds from their website. If I'd done it off the top of my head, they'd all'a been DAWGS.

Don't forget the Japanese breeds:

Tosa Inu
Sheba Inu
Akita Inu

"Inu" is Japanese for "dog."

These are all newly reconized breeds. The GSD use to be the only AKC breed with "Dog" in it's name. About 20 years ago or less.
