I despise the term redneck. It has a negative connotation and is normally associated with an uneducated fool. I never understood why anyone would want to be called a redneck. I guess that is were the lack of education comes into play.

Well, it's apparent there is more then one definition of where the term "Redneck" originated. I suspect they all have a grain of both truth and folklore.
However, I think we all agree the term was, at one time, less derogatory then it is today.
It's not a derogatory term to me...but it surely does seem to be by those who don't work for a living.

I am the opposite of Redneck, but firmly believe there's a little redneck in all of us. Of course I like tractors, 4x4's, guns...maybe a pseudo-redneck.
