Are you still putting square posts in round holes?

Here is a digger for square holes.

Skip forward to about 1:50 to skip the Russian dialog and see it in use.

But, in the beginning he points to some round posts. Is he putting round posts in square holes?

A guy that worked for us worked for a landscaper during his college summers. On a deck they were building, the building inspector would not approve the post holes because the plans showed a square hole and the dug hole was round. He swears it was a true story.

I would have told him that holes aren't holes once they are filled with something.
