Arg! What happened here...?

i was wondering about the white stuff also..note it is on the seat...all on leading edges...so operator prob was not on it..maybe on a trailer...but from there??? something hit the mower at a high rate of speed...ie dropped a gallon off the bridge, or something flew out of the truck hitting the equipment behind it, wreck hitting a line spray rig and the boom overhang, or maybe not paint...maybe wax like he drove his trailer through the carwash to clean the equiptment...

The person used the bagger as a platform for touch up painting, Thye got up close to whatever, was doing great until they stepped back, putting all the.weight on the bagger mount. Crack and spill. The paint bounced off whatever leaving tha pattern you see.

maybe they chained the front of the mower down and just ran the chain over the bagger mount to tie the back down. When they were ratcheting the chain tight on the back they tightened it too much and broke the weld

The white marks on the ROPS and seat looks similar to what happened to a truck I owned. I met a dump truck loaded with gravel without a cover. It peppered the hood and window of my truck with gravel. And that is kind of what it looked like. As for the breakage on the ROPS mount not sure about that, unless it was hit by large bits of gravel?

J0be269 was the first to really hit it (PM me your mailing address). Correct answer (by our interpretation) was tree limbs. The marks on the rops are from limbs and sap from pine tree's, thats also what bent up the linkage to open the hopper. Neither Kubota or Protero (bagger company) has ever had a structural failure like this, so its clear they nailed somthing hard.

Have you talked to the operator? I can't imagine running through tree limbs with an unprotected operator at a speed high enough to do that sort of damage and NOT having a coroners report laying on the seat!

I bet that left a mark.... or 50.

My guess would have been metal fatigue. I see that the weld held .And the metal frame cracked around the weld

Nuthin' was wrong with it when they unloaded it at your dealership. One of your employees or customers must have run into it with a vehicle or a tractor. Yeah, that's what happened...it's obviously your fault.;) :D
