TOMMYHPX4X4: I can see what your saying about the flat bottom and low ground clearance. Brobably not the best rig for gumbo mud.Argo now has a Bigfoot model with a little taller tires.

Was the alligator trapper guy running tracks? I know (was told by the dealer) that there is a bunch of argos in the province that are used for shellfish harvesting. That means that they have to drive over black mud (ive been stuck in black mud and its no fun) and sand. I guess they run the wide tracks and have no problems. Tracks might be the answer???

not sure if he had tracks or not. tracks would make a big diference though.

Ive seen the tracks work in person (snow not mud) and their pretty impressive. I was burried on a snowmobile, neighbour didnt sink at all. Pretty amazing flotation.

I know the neighbour takes his moose hunting thru some pretty muddy swamps. He uses the argo trailer though, seems to work good for him. But the mud and conditions in your part of the world are likely different.

Tracks do make a huge difference but there pretty $$$$ Argos see a lots of abuse up north in the muskeg, which is pretty soggy stuff.
