They cut the trees off at the level necessary (20-30 foot 'stump'), used a cat to back the mobile home up the grade, and jacked the critter up, slid (I guess) it over unto the stumps. They remainder of the trees they had used for bracing to the hillside. In both cases, they had added supports midway, and dug a flat area under the mobile home for the carport. Relatively cheap way to do it, but to each their own. Danged if I know if they're still hanging in there! I haven't driven over through there in years.
