Lineman, you have had your battle with this pest before I see. As far as I know from the information I have gotten, the worms are not a frequent invader here in Central Texas. That's so unfortunate that you have to continually battle with this disaster. The drought and now heavy rains, wind gust, on a stressed crop is pretty unusual for us this late.

We are used to dealing with them, but never as bad as this year, with all the rain we have got we have had a hard time staying ahead of them. I'm happy for you all that you don't have to deal with them like we do, they have made my life miserable this year and have put a hurting on my wallet . We also are now dealing with what is being called a stem maggot, they don't do the damage that the army worms do but they will turn the tops of a beautiful green field brown.
