I agree with that, for the most part. 3-points on the larger tractors
over 5 or 6K#, are often pretty beefy and have cat 2 hitches. Your
breakage is quite ramarkable, since it is an industrial machine. How
many hours on it?
For CUTs, a subframe is the only safe way to use b/hs. I have owned them
on 3-pt hitches and subframes both, and fortunately I have had no breakage.
9 y ago when I was excavating for my new house, I hired a guy with
a Case 580 with Extendahoe and 4in1 loader. He had 27,000 hours on
the machine, and structural parts were fatiguing and breaking fairly
often.
