Arrived Safe and Sound

I went and picked up the new tractor Saturday. Everything was as they said it would be. I tied it down, puckered up and started what I thought would be a really long drive back from Springfield (about 190 mi.). Having no brakes on the trailer I was pretty nervous. The old truck did just fine. I kept it around 55-60 and made the trip in what seemed about the same amount of time as it takes going 80.

So, I get it home around 2:30pm. I say home because it's where I'm getting ready to build. I got an amazing amount of work done on the lot. I worked from sun up to sun down Sunday and Monday(took a vacation day). I've racked up about 18hrs already. A neighbor came by yesterday evening and said he didn't hardly recognize the place.

This thing is going to pay for itself in no time. I didn't have a difficult time justifying it to myself before, but, had I known just how much use I was going to get out of it, I probably would have done it sooner. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Nothing like having the right tools for the job. I'm renovating an old farmhouse and my brand new TN75 is extremely useful. The farmer up the street is eyeing it up though. Better keep it under cover /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm looking forward to the pictures and congrats on the tractor. You are right about how it will pay for itself. My wife used to be pretty skeptical about my tractor buying habits, but she know that my feeble old body just can't do as much work as a tractor with a FEL and a host of 3pt implements. And she is usually pretty happy with the yard projects I do. So enjoy your machine and keep us posted on the projects you do. And you might want to fill out your profile when you get a chance so we can see where you are, land type, etc.
