Well - what can I say - my business partner has always been my wife.

So, all has been good.

But, there have been one or two problems we’ve encountered over the 29 years we’ve been married!

i had to take an econ class about 1,000,000 years ago but i will always remember..... i read in the text book that a married couple, both on the same page working towards a common goal, is the most efficient arrangement you can have.

That is nice to hear.

Thanks.

Can be the best. Or can become a burden to the marriage. I guess the key to any partnership is "on the same page." Right about that.

And another seemingly endless number of postings on yet another C-19 problem & its trickle down effects reaching down to the level of the great dirty unwashed masses . . . . . all because we have not received the soap. order

My experience is:

- agree who is best at each important task.

- give the best person that task.

- stay out of their way and let them do their task. Focus on your tasks. No back seat driving.

- never pass up an opportunity to say “great job”.

- always take mistakes and defeats as a team. Overcome mistakes and defeats as a team.

- finally - most importantly - love what you do or else sell and move on down the road.

Great advice... it has worked for us for the past 38 years!

I run the construction, and Wifey takes care of the books and household accounts. She also has total control of our money, what she says go's. I am quite content with that arrangement.

This mirrors our marriage/business. My wife has her graduate degree in finance and that has been beneficial for me as I take the ride. :D

Mine, too. Undergrad in Finance and MBA. I do the cooking and most of the yard work, but she seems excited to drive the tractor. I worry that she will not be cautious enough, but I'll let God do His thing.

When we were first married it was a traditional marriage with the husband being the dominant role. I was away for 18th months, 3 months Officer Training School, 3 months Air Weapons Controller School, and 12 months on a mountain top in Korea without any family. My wife took charge during that time, and I never got the control back.;)
