Great advice. I followed you the whole way. I have done plenty of concrete work. I have been around asphalt work and can tell there is indeed a knack to it. I will consider it but am leaning towards your last comment. The hot tar kind of puts a bit of a damper on things as this is the one thing that could be tough to do with any of my equipment. Thanks for all the comments, RaT...

Egon, a lot of the older plants have a small drop, 1/2 ton ish (going off of memory) so it will fit in the back of a pickup easy. I took a drop in a Ford Ranchero ONCE. I dont reccomend it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You can get the BM at the plant. If you have a metal 5 gal bucket you can reheat it with a propane torch UNDERNEATH the bucket. However, if ANY water is present, not moisture, but say 1/4 cup water, dry the bucket first, if you dont you will wear the BM, read tar and feather. This stuff is not fun to work with and I can still see the burns from where I was splashed. If you go this way, just get it at the plant, and take it right home and pour it on. Then junk the bucket. It will stay HOT for a long time so you most likey will not have to reheat it.

We carried BM in buckets for a long time until we got a tar buggy. Took one guy to the hospital because of water in the pour can.
